Plot
Archivist Luigi Senesi (Recanati, February 26, 1834 – November 19, 1906) worked for nobles and notaries from Recanati. In 1879, a notary, Achille Pascucci, occupied some rooms on the main floor of Palazzo Prosperi Bettini. For work reasons, he interacted several times with notary Bruglia, who employed Luigi Senesi.
Among the texts on the shelves of Palazzo Bettini is a rare typescript by Senesi himself: "Notes on the Origins of the City and Bishopric of Recanati and on the People Who Have Up to Now Served and Occupied Our Episcopal See and that of Lorreto." From this well-researched and documented work, we offer an in-depth exploration that uncovers both previously unseen aspects of Recanati's history and that of the Senesi family.
