Marche, Italy's only plural region, is a mosaic of landscapes, flavors, and stories intertwined between the sea, hills, and ancient villages.

This guide was created with the aim of revealing a new and surprising side of this region: the pizzas churned out daily in the ovens of the most authentic pizzerias. Thanks to passionate and visionary pizza chefs, you'll discover doughs that speak of the land, toppings that exude tradition, and pairings that dare to be bold without forgetting their roots. As you browse these pages, you'll find yourself immersed in a journey that combines craft and creativity, where every pizza tells a story and every pizza chef is an interpreter of the region.

The volume also includes pizza recipes, a precious gift from the twenty participating pizzerias. This contribution enriches the project with the creativity and experience of those who continue to practice the art of pizza making every day.

Author

Andrea Bevilacqua is a journalist and writer from the Marche region, born in 1990, who has turned his homeland into a continuous narrative. The Marche region, with its villages, hills, sea, and lavishly decorated tables, is at the heart of his work, which blends storytelling, research, and passion. Author of books such as "Conero in Pillole – A Journey through Cuisine and History" and "Marche Viaggiando – The Conero Riviera and the Hills of Infinity," Bevilacqua guides readers on a journey of discovery through a region that speaks of flavor, memory, and beauty. He conceived and developed the web format "Viaggio nel Conero" and collaborates with Vivere Ancona, a publication for which he created the project "L'Anconetano del Giorno," dedicated to the daily stories of prominent figures from the Doric capital.

Antonio Fucito is a writer, sommelier, and podcaster with a lifelong passion for pizza, technology, and pop culture. Founder of the blog "Garage Pizza," he has helped chronicle the evolution of contemporary pizza, combining artisanal craftsmanship, research, and new languages. As Product Manager of "Dissapore," a national food magazine, he combines editorial expertise with a digital vision, showcasing Italian excellence. He is one of the cultural directors of "COMICON Napoli" and "COMICON Bergamo," where he has woven together food and wine and entertainment in innovative projects. Active since the 2000s, he has created online and offline formats ranging from food to video games, always with authenticity and curiosity.
