Plot

In 1348, as humanity faced the threat of plague, Boccaccio put together a collection of short stories steeped in irony and humor. It might seem like a contradiction, but it isn't.

The comedy that springs from Boccaccio's pen isn't just a pretext for laughter, but a response to any unknown, problem, or uncertainty life throws at us. And that's why we've decided to offer you a selection of short stories in which, "with some graceful motto," the protagonists have avoided unexpected events and obstacles.

Today, in an increasingly frenetic and uncertain world, the Decameron is still able to speak to us clearly and does so by inviting us to glide over difficulties with lightness.

Author
