Literary Diary: Where to find us this week

Giaconi Editore 's autumn is filled with meetings, stories, and new releases.
In November, authors and readers, bookstores and theaters become spaces for dialogue and sharing, where each book opens a window onto different worlds: from travel to memory, from art to everyday life.

"On the Banana Pancake Trail" by Martino Buran

On Thursday 6 November, at 6:30 pm, at the El Dodo Booksellers & Stationers bookshop (via Vallarsa 11, Milan), Martino Buran will present his book Sul sentiero della frittella di banane .
Giulia Meta will be in conversation with the author.

The volume is a travel diary of discovery, a journey that crosses Southeast Asia—from Cambodia to Laos, from Vietnam to Thailand—and which becomes an opportunity to question the meaning of the journey and the encounter with the other.
An ironic, authentic, and deeply human tale, capable of conveying to the reader a sense of the unexpected and adventure.

"Tasty. Tales, Recipes, and Emotions to Knead" by Carolina D'Angelo and Claudia Brattini

At the Rinascita bookshop in Macerata , Carolina D'Angelo meets children and families for a workshop dedicated to her book Gustosissimo , written together with Claudia Brattini and illustrated by Valeria Colonnella .
Pediatrician Laura Olimpi will be present with the author to talk about healthy and conscious eating.

The free, reservation-only event combines play, imagination, and best practices, inviting both adults and children to discover that cooking can be a way to get to know each other, share, and grow together.

“But Memory is Sweet” by Federica Sargolini

On Saturday 8 November, at 5:30 pm, the Teatro Comunale in Penna San Giovanni will host Federica Sargolini for the presentation of her novel Ma la memoria è dolce .
The author will converse with Simone Giaconi and take the audience into an intense story, where two lives and two imprisonments intertwine on the thread of memory.

A book that combines History with a capital “H” with the intimate dimension of memories, reminding us how sweet — and sometimes painful — it is not to forget.

"Beyond the Trenches. War Memories to Build Peace"

On Sunday 9 November, at 4.30 pm, in the Council Chamber in Piazza San Rocco in Colmurano , the presentation of the volume Oltre le trincee , signed by Marco Vissani, Patrizio Quintili, Mario Lambertucci, Giovanni Paolo Carlino-Giuliani , will take place.

A collaborative effort that brings together testimonies and reflections on the value of peace and the memory of the Great War. Through documents, memories, and soldiers' poems, the book invites us to look beyond the rhetoric of war, to rediscover in memory the foundation for a more just and informed coexistence.

"Tasty. Tales, Recipes, and Emotions to Knead" by Carolina D'Angelo and Claudia Brattini

On Sunday 9 November at 5 pm, at the Circolo Insieme in Colli del Tronto , the Pro Loco Colli del Tronto will host a new stage of the “Autori a Colli” series with the presentation of the book Gustosissimo by Claudia Brattini and Carolina D'Angelo .

A meeting filled with creativity and sweetness, where words and cuisine intertwine to give life to stories to savor. After the presentation, the little ones will be able to participate in a book-inspired workshop, to discover together the joy of blending emotions, imagination, and wholesome ingredients. The event will conclude with a convivial buffet, to continue sharing the joy of reading and company.

Also on Sunday 9 November, at 6pm, at the Mondadori Bookstore in Fermo (via Cefalonia 38), Nicolas Amici presents Vittore Crivelli and the maritime castles of the Lower Marche , in conversation with the historian Ilene Acquaroli .

A historical and visual itinerary to discover the villages of the Lower Marche region and their extraordinary artistic heritage.
